The Attleboro Arts Museum needs our help to get it through these difficult times.  Despite deficits last year and with Herculean efforts on the part of the reduced staff and committed volunteers, the Attleboro Arts Museum has had some outstanding accomplishments.

Did you know that 10,000 people attended the first Attleboro “Expo for the Senses” cultural festival last year? 50 artists/crafters had a venue to exhibit and sell their work.

You have until the end of the month, June 30 to make a donation and you can do it online. The Museum has a secure site (click the link below). Just make sure where it says DONATION TYPE you select Annual Fund; and where you are asked HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT US? type in “Haircut.”

Click on the scissors above to make your online donation or
mail a check to the Attleboro Arts Museum, 86 Park St., Attleboro, MA 02703 make sure you put “Annual Fund/Haircut” on the check, or stop by the Museum and drop off your donation.

All donations are tax-deductible and help support the
Attleboro Arts Museum’s Annual Fund.

I thank you for your donation.
The Attleboro Arts Museum appreciates your support!

I will get my ponytail cut, get a crewcut or shave my head depending on the donations made by June 30, 2010. I will be posting the totals as I get them with the grand total to following after the 30th. Before and after pictures and maybe even a video to prove that I followed through.

My Favorite Sandwich Bags

I used Flickr to archive my Sandwich Bag Art because my kids tossed them in the lunch room trash. Not because they didn’t like them, but because they were used to me just making a quick drawing and leaving it around.

I’ve written about how I came to Flickr as the place to archive these quick drawings. You can find almost all the Sandwich Bag Art there; I may have missed a few in the beginning.

I do have my favorite bags, and I have an album on Flickr that I haven’t looked at in at least 6 years. I’m going to share My Favorites album, knowing that I may add or subtract from it. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about a particular bag or bags in this album.

I also have an album of all the 2,000+ Sandwich Bags I drew when my kids were in elementary school and high school. You can find the Flicker album here.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the link to my public Flickr page.

Let me know if you have any questions.
